Public Meeting June 23rd
Thank you for your interest in the Martin Way Corridor Study. We are excited to inform you about a virtual public meeting being held on June 23rd from 6 to 8 pm. This will be an online event via Zoom, and participants must register in advance to attend. There will be a series of brief presentations with opportunities throughout for the public to ask questions and participate. The event will be recorded and posted to the project website for those unable to make it.
Take a Tour of Martin Way
In addition to the public meeting, we’ve launched an online open house where you can learn about and explore the Martin Way corridor. You can also provide feedback through the map, so please be sure to tell us what you think about the future of Martin Way and what it should look like between now and July 7th. After that, we’ll update the open house with the feedback we got from folks.
New Information Posted
We’ve updated the project website to include the results of the business survey, the residential survey, and a draft version of the current conditions report.
What’s Next?
We’re working on a number of pieces to inform the next steps for this project:
- Current Conditions Report. The final version of the current conditions report should be released in the next month or so.
- Market Study. Consultants have been hired to produce a market study, which should help us understand how real-world conditions influence what’s possible on the corridor in the future. The study should be complete in the next few months.
- MORE Outreach! Over the coming months, we’ll be convening small focus groups to discuss transportation issues and solutions on the corridor. We’ll be reaching out to some of you who have already indicated a desire to participate more closely in the planning process.
This update is going out to everyone who signed up for project notifications through our website, took the residential survey in 2020, and those who participated in a focus group or other project meeting. We’ll be using this method to send out updates about project milestones and events. As always, we welcome your feedback!
