Notice of Request For Qualifications (RFQ)

Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC)
MAIN STREET ROCHESTER CONCEPTUAL LAYOUT PLANS AND ENGINEERING COST ESTIMATES

Project Page and RFQ Materials

Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) is coordinating the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to perform conceptual layout plans and engineering cost estimates for the Main Street Rochester study. This planning effort is funded by a Surface Transportation Program grant from the Federal Highway Administration. TRPC will be the lead agency in administering this RFQ and associated work. TRPC’s needs are outlined in the following RFQ.

Thurston County and TRPC seek the engineering services of a qualified consultant to assist with the Main Street Rochester project. The purpose of the project is to balance the dual roles US 12 serves as a regional highway and as Rochester’s Main Street. The selected consultant will assist in developing conceptual layout plans and cost estimates that utilize practical design solutions (and potential cost-saving measures) for enhancements to the highway and/or adjacent streets. Such enhancements may include roundabouts, sidewalks, curb extensions, landscaping, or nonmotorized trails separated from the highway.
