Data Table

Explanation

Of the school districts in Thurston County, North Thurston was the most diverse during the 2022-2023 school year. Only 43% of students identified themselves as white. The Rochester School District had the second highest proportion of minority students.

The Tenino School District was the most homogeneous district, with roughly 81% of its students being white.

Since the 2014-2015 school year, the diversity of students in Thurston County school districts has increased 8%. This growth comes predominantly from the increasing number of students reporting their race as Hispanic/Latino of Any Race(s) or Two or More Races.
