Over 344 million tons of goods valued at $443 million were estimated to have been shipped from Washington State in 2018. In contrast, 374 million tons of goods valued at $453 million were estimated to have been shipped to Washington State. The majority of these goods were shipped by truck.
By 2045, freight that originates in Washington is projected to increase to 538 million tons ($972 million) while freight destined for Washington is projected to increase to 576 million tons ($962 million).
