Explanation

Educational attainment is associated with an increase in wages over the course of a person's lifetime. Those who identify as a person of color — Hispanic, Latino, or a race other than white — are less likely to have completed a college degree. Of the population 25 years or older, 35% have a complete high school education (including a GED) or less compared to 25% of the white, non-Hispanic population.
