Transit Service Providers in Thurston County

Intercity Transit
Let Intercity Transit do the driving! Intercity Transit (IT) can help you get to work and to errands and appointments during the day. Check out IT's webpage at http://www.intercitytransit.com/ for an overview of routes and schedules.

IT will plan the trip for you. Contact IT at customerservice@intercitytransit.com or 360-786-1881 for a custom trip plan.

State agencies can have transit guides delivered to their worksites by calling consolidated mail at 360-665-9617. 

State Employees: The STAR Pass is a free annual bus pass for state employees in Thurston County. It is managed by Washington State Department of Transportation. Contact George Blake for more details at 360-705-7916 or email George.blake@wsdot.wa.gov, or visit www.ctr.wa.gov.

The Evergreen State College and South Puget Sound Community College: Students, faculty, and Staff may use an appropriate ID for a transit pass.   Contact the school's registrar's office for more details.

Rural & Tribal Transportation (R/T)
R/T provides accessible transportation services for the Nisqually Indian Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, the communities of Bucoda, Rainier, Rochester, Tenino, Yelm and other parts of rural Thurston County. R/T provides connections to Intercity Transit in Thurston County and Twin Transit in Lewis County.

  • Grays Harbor Transit: for transit service from Aberdeen and Grays Harbor, contact Grays Harbor Transit at 1-800-562-9730
  • Mason Transit: For transit service from Shelton and Mason County, contact Mason Transit at 1-800-374-3747 or 360-427-5033.
  • Sound Transit: Sound Transit operates bus and rail service in central Puget Sound, contact Sound Transit at 1-800-201-4900.
