Interactive Maps Available Online

Thurston County Bicycle Map
This map shows bike lanes, roads with wide shoulders, pedestrian connections and local streets commonly used by bicyclists are shown, as well as multi-use paths. Bicycle facilities such as restrooms and trail access points can be turned on or off.  Addresses can be entered in a text box and a marker will be placed on the map in the location specified to aid in trip planning.

Residential Building Permits:
This map shows the location of residential permits for each year dating back to 1991.  By clicking on a permit the user can access the following information: parcel number, address, building type, number of dwelling units, the issuing jurisdiction, and the permit issue date.  Users will also be able to type in an address for any location in Thurston County, zoom to that location and view a history of any permits on that property or surrounding properties.

Historic Property Locator:
An interactive historic property locator for Thurston County.  For each historic property an inventory report with detailed information, a description and a photo can be generated.  Historic sites can be searched by name, address, and parcel number.  Historic information such as historic districts, donation land claims, GLO (General Land Office) map, and an 1850 historic map are also available.

TRPC currently only maintains historic property information for the City of Olympia and the City of Tumwater, historic properties for Thurston County and other jurisdictions are only current through June 2006.

Small Towns Web Mapping:
The Small Towns Web Mapping Project provides access to local map-based and tabular data via an easy to use online application.  Data such as zoning, property ownership, land use, and critical areas are available through the application. The application allows the user to interactively select which map layers are displayed, the scale at which the layers are displayed, and allows the user to print a customized map. Websites are available for Bucoda, Rainier, Tenino, and Yelm.
