REGIONAL PLANNING

TRPC undertakes a variety of planning projects as part of the Council's annual work program as well as on contract with local jurisdictions in Thurston County.

Thurston Commutes
Thurston County, along with other communities across the nation, has been working to make alternatives to driving alone more inviting and convenient. Business and government agencies are helping their employees find commute options; schools, city government and non-profit organizations are participating in CTR too.

Environment
Thurston Regional Planning Council conducts a wide range of environmental planning.  Products include watershed plans, data collection projects, GIS maps and development regulations for wetlands, streams and aquifer recharge areas.  For more information on our environmental programs, please contact the staff listed on the project page.

Regional Plan for Sustainable Development
TRPC is working with local leaders and people to articulate this region's definition of sustainability and the actions and responsibilities to achieve it.

Thurston Here to There
Thurston Here to There  was developed as a coordinated set of activities with one goal – to improve access to travel options for the people who live, work, play, or go to school in Bucoda, Rainier, Tenino, Tumwater and Yelm.

Transportation 
Thurston Regional Planning Council is working to improve transportation choices and mobility for all of Thurston County, its communities, and neighboring jurisdictions.
