Explanation Thurston County has 7 incorporated areas: the Cities of Lacey, Olympia, Rainier, Tenino, Tumwater and Yelm, and the Town of Bucoda. Olympia is the most populous incorporated area; the least is Bucoda. Between 2010 and 2016, Tumwater's population grew the fastest (4.8% per year, primarily due to the 2016 Eastside Annexation), followed by Yelm (3.6% per year).
