Healthy Kids - Safe Streets

The Healthy Kids — Safe Streets action plan integrates regional school and community stakeholder ideas and “Walk and Roll” demonstration project findings. The plan identifies strategies, programs, and policies that address school, transportation, and community health issues.



Pedestrian Safer Journey (Video 5:11)

Learning basic pedestrian safety may help prevent injuries and prepare school-age children for a lifetime of safe walking. This federally funded instructional video teaches youth how to choose the safest places to walk and cross streets and the importance of watching for traffic.
